I was born in Hull, brought up and educated my children here, and studied at Hull University. Your issues are my issues.
I have always worked outside of politics, both in healthcare, and being Chair of an orphanage charity. My knowledge and experience of business, the NHS, and voluntary sector will help me deliver my priorities if elected as your MP.
These priorities are:
1. Business advocacy. From large corporations like Siemens to small local enterprises and the self-employed, the Conservatives are unashamedly the pro-business Party. The private sector growth in jobs in the renewables industry is an exciting opportunity and I will personally work to attract further related business investment.
2. Education and Skills. I will support vocational training, apprenticeships, employability skills development and education to ensure the growth in new jobs benefits local people.
3. Championing Hull on the National and International stage. Being the City of Culture in 2017 is the ideal platform for us to showcase our creative, innovative and friendly city and I will promote Hull far and wide, eradicating any negative perceptions once and for all.
If you want an energetic supporter of raising ambition and pride in our great city, I’m your woman!
